Childcare Funding

Funded Childcare at Burmantofts Community Nursery

Burmantofts Community Nursery is proud to offer funded childcare places for eligible families.

Funded childcare is a government initiative designed to provide financial support to families accessing early education and childcare in OFSTED-registered settings. Burmantofts Community Nursery works closely with Leeds City Council to apply this funding for eligible children. We work closely with our families to ensure we meet your childcare needs – please contact us to explore your options.

Funding typically covers 15 or 30 hours per week for 38 term-time weeks each year.

  • Term-time only childcare: Children attending term-time only receive 15 or 30 funded hours per week over 38 weeks.
  • Year-round childcare: Children attending throughout the year receive “stretched” funding. This means 15 or 30 hours of funding (over 38 weeks) are spread across 52 weeks.

Our bespoke offer at Burmantofts Community Nursery means parents do not pay additional

fees for nutritious meals and snacks.

Many families qualify for government-funded childcare. To learn more about eligibility and how to apply, please explore the Government's Eligibility Checker or speak to our friendly nursery team.
