Learning in the Pre-School Room at Burmantofts Community Nursery supports children aged 3 to 4 years to prepare for the next stage of their learning journey. Guided by Birth to 5 Matters (2021), our approach promotes independence, curiosity, and a love of learning through purposeful play. Children are encouraged to think creatively, explore new ideas, and build confidence in early literacy, maths, and communication. Practitioners foster positive relationships and provide meaningful experiences that develop social skills, resilience, and problem-solving abilities. Through play-based learning, children become active, capable learners — ready for school and excited about the world around them.
