Learning in the Toddler Room at Burmantofts Community Nursery builds on the secure foundations established in the baby room, following the Birth to 5 Matters (2021) guidance. For our 2- and 3-year-olds, learning is active, social, and full of curiosity. Children begin to explore their independence, develop language and communication skills, and learn to play alongside and with others. Practitioners provide rich, hands-on experiences that encourage problem-solving, creativity, and early critical thinking. Through supportive routines and caring relationships, toddlers gain confidence in managing feelings, making choices, and expressing themselves. Every child is encouraged to explore, experiment, and grow into a capable, motivated learner.
