Nurture & Wellbeing
At Burmantofts Community Nursery, we believe that children thrive when they feel safe, loved, and valued, and we place nurture, wellbeing, care, and safeguarding at the centre of all we do. We understand that emotional security and strong, trusting relationships are the foundation for every child’s learning and development. Our dedicated team provides a warm, consistent environment where each child is supported to build confidence, resilience, and a positive sense of self.
Safeguarding is a top priority and every member of staff is trained to recognise and respond to concerns, ensuring that all children are protected and cared for in a safe, nurturing setting. We work closely with families and external professionals to promote the welfare and wellbeing of every child and family in our nursery community. We will signpost you to external organisations if you feel this will support you and your family.
We also know that physical wellbeing and nutrition play a vital role in children’s development. Through our partnership with FareShare, we proudly provide nutritious meals and snacks free of charge — this reflects our commitment to supporting families and understanding the challenges of raising young children.
Through our partnership with FareShare, we are able to offer our families free access to fresh fruit, vegetables and pantry items to enjoy at home.
At Burmantofts Community Nursery, we care for the whole child — emotionally, physically, and academically — we want every child to grow, learn, and reach their full potential.
